I’m the first ever brand ambassador for @savagexfenty ♥️♥️♥️♥️✨ !!! I love you @badgalriri ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I want all individuals to feel empowered and to embrace who they truly are. I don’t always wake up feeling the most confident and powerful, but trust and believe having my Savage X on always helps!!
Unless you’ve been hiding from the world, Rihanna has been dominating 2019. Most notably, her amazing, all inclusive, lingerie show for brand Savage X Fenty. During Fashion Week, the serial entrepreneur and entertainer hosted a “no phones allowed” Fashion Show in an exclusive partnership with Amazon Prime. The Show was to celebrate women, and men, of all shapes and sizes to be comfortable in the skin they’re in and very expressively. The show was decked with a plethora of smoking supermodels like Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls, and Slick Woods, and entertainers including the Migos, Big Sean, Tierra Whack, and yes – Ms. Normani.
Normani wore it thin performing to a remix of Sean Paul’s ‘Shake Dat Thing” in a colorful two piece set and striking flare heels by Amina Muaddi. She wore it so thin, that the Bad Gal has need her as the first ever brand ambassador for Savage X Fenty. She released the news on Instagram, with a sensual series of photos where’s she’s seen wearing a red holiday set from Savage X decked in jewels and dripping in Melanin. The singer gushed in an interview with Vogue about the opportunity and her appreciation of Rihanna, stating, “I know that this is her passion project, something she genuinely and wholeheartedly believes in and cares about, and the fact that she wanted me to be a part of that meant a lot to me,” she said. “She is somebody I’ve looked up to for a very, very long time.”
She spoke briefly about her jaw-dropping performance at the lingerie Runway extravaganza stating that the moment was “powerful,” continuing saying “It was great to be among so many amazing human beings who deserve to be celebrated because they’re all beautiful—all shapes, all sizes. The show represented everybody. I just love how inclusive [the brand] is and how it gives everybody the opportunity to feel sexy and beautiful and empowered—which is everything that I stand for as well.” She also rereleased minor details about her debut studio album, which she is hoping to release sometime in 2020. As her opening duty as the Brands Ambassador, Normani is starring in the brands Holiday campaign, which has truly rang the sleigh bells for the season.
