Issa Rae has always been an immense talent for everyone to enjoy. With her show, Insecure, she’s been able to spotlight many varieties of fresh talent into the view of Hollywood. News released of her most recent venture, a Record Label imprint dubbed Raedio. According to Variety, the Insecure star’s new label is in partnership with music giant Atlantic Records.
The new imprint has been described as an “audio everywhere company,” and will broadcast talent across all entertainment fields of television, music, film, commercials, podcasts, and many various opportunities. Issa took to Instagram to reveal the first artist of the label, TeaMarr, along with her debut song.
“Music has always been an essential part of every project I do and working with emerging talent is a personal passion,” Rae said in a statement provided to Variety. “Raedio allows me to continue that work within the music industry and audio entertainment space. The Atlantic Records team are innovators in terms of shifting and shaping culture. I’m excited to join forces with them to discover new artists.”
