Balmain x Puma Collab On A Unisex Boxing-Inspired Collection

Balmain has always been known for pushing some hard boundaries and truly revolutionizing fashion under visionary Creative Director Olivier Rousteing. The elite Fashion House broke the internet when they released a make-up collaboration with cosmetic Billionaire, Kylie Jenner. Now they’re up for another duo with athletic sportswear giant Puma. Fresh off of a sold out release featuring the collaboration with the late prolific Nipsey Hussle, Puma has extended into another lane of genius with a unisex collaboration.

The collaboration is spearheaded by mutual ambassadors and friends of each brand, Cara Delevingne. The crossbreed of the two very different brands creating for a unique range of merchandise suitable for any person. The capsule collection is inspired by the spirit in the sport of Boxing. The collection thrives with co-branding of “PUMA” and “Balmain” logos across sparkling textures, plush textiles, and unique silhouettes. Included are striped distressed hoodies and T-shirts, mesh tank tops, graphic Tees, classic boxing shorts, and structured sweatpants, and moves to more statement pieces like sequin infused half gowns, bombers and souvenir jackets.

“PUMA has always represented team work and empowerment so the idea of doing a partnership with Olivier seemed very fitting,” Delevingne said in a statement.  “Balmain has a similar brave fierceness to their brand as PUMA does and it really excited me to think of what we could all do together.” Rousteing chimed in, noting that “Cara is a good friend, and this is the fruit of a shared vision. Everyone involved —- PUMA, Balmain, Cara and me -— was determined to create something timeless. Above all, we knew that our message needed to be a strong one, reflecting exactly who we are and what we believe in.”
