Nicki Minaj has had a strong start to retirement as she recently designed a collection for Fendi. Nicki has always had a long unspoken, yet spoken, love for the high fashion brand with the signature double ‘F.’ The event took place tonight at the Fendi boutique in Beverly Hills and was rolled out in Pink in homage to the international phenomenons Barbie mantra which she still wears so well. The collaboration titled “Prints On,” is a capsule collection of 127 pieces of decadence that range from swimwear, footwear, curve hugging dresses, handbags, sunglasses, and much more.
The collection, designed in collaboration with Fendi creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi, is a moment of celebration for women across the world. “I want to make clothes that make girls with my body look sexy,” she said in a statement. “What I want to tell girls is not necessarily, ‘Go and gain weight and have a big booty,’ but ‘If you do have curves, be proud of it, flaunt it—love the skin you’re in.” Which has been a well delivered message by The Queen Barbie since the beginnings of her career. The collection celebrates women’s bodies in there most curvy sate with piece like the monogram bubble gum pink calf length long sleeve dress, and show the bodice in style for the beach in the metallic silver two-piece bikini.
Minaj wore that flashy two-piece bikini as a unit under the silver cut-out side paneled-dress. She accessorized the look with the bamboo ‘F’ earrings, silver waist belt, and monogram silver bucket bag – all pieces from the capsule collection. To finish the look in true barbie style, she decked the look with a wet pink do.

The collaboration was a natural marriage that started in the Summer of 2018 when Nicki Minaj made a prominent tune for the season that was surely inked in everyones head like an adult lullaby. “I made a song called ‘Chun Li’ and I said ‘Fendi prints on,’” Nicki said in a statement. “I asked to use Fendi on the cover art and they were all with it. I had already shot with Karl Lagerfeld and he was someone that I always loved so much, and when I realized that he liked me, it just warmed my heart because I was so obsessed with him. So, they gave me permission to use Fendi.” When asked about the design process, she explained, “Fendi then brought me out to Milan and said, ‘When your song came out, the clothes that had the actual Fendi prints on started selling more.’ I respected them so much for telling me that; we all know how hip-hop influences fashion, but a lot of times, we don’t get that credit, so I fell in love with them for saying that.”
With many pivotal pieces, it’s a Fendi Fact that the Gram will be seeing a lot of the vibrations and unique threads with accompanied by craft captions of Minaj’s lyrics to compliment. The full capsule collection ‘Prints On’ is available now for order via Fendi’s website.
