Rihanna Just Announced Her Autobiography In A Millennial Way

SHUTTERSTOCK

It has truly been a trailblazing year for Rihanna, with a history making Fashion Line, an ever successful cosmetics roll-out, and beyond epic lingerie Fashion Show, the entertainer and mogul just added another reason for the work to give her the dollars. Yesterday the serial entrepreneur announced her latest venture to add to the Fenty Corp, “visual autobiography” in which she’s partnering with Phaidon on the massive debut.

The project will hold never-before-seen images that detail the entertainer turned moguls eclectic life. The unique book is a structured timeline of photos that documents her entire life journey, starting with her upbringing in Barbados, all the way to her revolutionizing career as a pop-star. Included will be special moments from her various tours, cherished moments with friends and family, and more. The project has been “over five years in the making,” per the InstaGram post on her page adding that she’s “happy to finally share this collection of incredible memories. Thank you to all of the photographers and artists that contributed and to @phaidonsnaps for working with me to publish my first piece of art in a new industry!” In the post, a short montage of videos gave a sneak peak of Ri and what’s to be shown in the book including her internet-breaking MET-gala moment.

The hardcover edition features a staggering 504 pages and 1,050 images in color, not to mention that it weighs 15 pounds. In addition to the classic hardcover, three special-edition styles will be available: the Fenty x Phaidon version features a custom “This Sh*t Is Heavy bookstand,” followed by the the Luxury Supreme (retailing at $5,500) and Ultra Luxury Supreme (already sold out) versions which have custom tabletop bookstands, which are in a shape of the Bad Gal’s hand and *drum wolf* is even signed by Ri herself.

If you don’t have $111k for an Ultra Luxury Supreme version like Cardi B (who bid on one at Rihanna’s 2019 Diamond Ball) the standard hardcover book is retailing at $150 and set to release on October 24th.
