Kylie Jenner knows how to run a beauty campaign. Her cosmetics brand, Kylie Cosmetics, has been on a strong run since she crowned on a track to be a Billionaire because of the self-made entrepreneurs brand. For her recent extravaganza, she’s collaborated with Balmain and their Creative Director Olivier Rousteing on a full collection of that hit the runway for the Brands SS2020 Show.
Unfortunately, Jenner announced earlier this week that she had to cancel last minute on her appearance to the show due to an unannounced illness, but the show still successfully went forward. The Fashion Show took place at the Palais Garnier where backstage the magic of eye palettes and lip shades was being performed. Make-up artist Samira Goyette, was among the artist test driving the fresh collaboration ahead of the world debut. Greeting the ladies backstage were Kylie x Balmain gift bags that included the new collection for the girls to indulge in themselves. Jenner & Rousteing went for two specifically curated looks that focused on intense eyes: One holding a metallic silver wing off the eye, and the other a complimenting watercolor eye – similar to the waves on Jenner in the Collaborations campaign.
Making the look, Goyette used her technical blending method using Close The Show: a vibrant rosé colored fuchsia, City of Love: a mint green, and Top Model: A delicate rosé from the Kyshadow Palette onto the lids of the eye and gently tailored in the Metallic Silver of the Model Type adding wha she explained as a “pop when they open their eyes,” continuing “It’s very Olivier, very Kylie,” of the looks. the versatile moments worked well against the technical and appealing designs of the Balmain collection, providing yet another Balmain Army experience.
