Kanye West Tops Forbes Highest Paid Acts In Hip Hop

The Entertainment industry is undoubtedly one of the most profitable. Serving the people a sort of escape into their deepest dreams and imagination. One of the most prolific is music, most specifically Hip Hop. Today Forbes Magazine rebased their list for the highest earning acts in Hip Hop and some familiar faces take top spots while some new join the ranks of those who once inspired them.

The List is composed of the 20 highest grossing entertainers in Hip Hop “from June 2018 to June 2019 before deducting fees for agents, managers and lawyers; figures are based on data from Nielsen Music, Pollstar, Bandsintown and interviews with experts, handlers and some of the stars themselves.” The list is put together by combining all information and knowledge possibles about each individuals assets, public reporting, music streams and releasing, touring, personal deals, and etc. While the list is presumed with pre-tax earnings, each of the artist still reigned glorious. Topping the list is Kanye West with an astounding $150 million with much thanks to his popular street brand, YEEZY. With Jay-Z coming in at Number 2 with $81 Million and Travis Scott rounding off the Top 5 with a cool 58 Million fresh off his ASTROWORLD Tour. Newcomer to the list, Cardi B, staggers in at #13 with $28 million as one of the only two women on the list – further proving the undeniable pay gap for women in the industry.
