“This is a moment in history, It’s a big deal for me and my entire generation.”

When news officially broke about the history making collaboration between fashion power house LVMH & Rihanna, no-one knew whether to panic or be upset about being excluded from the secret. We soon got over our selfishness when it finally hit that a collection of wearable art-pieces actually designed by Queen Ri was going to be able to be purchased and worn. Yesterday evening, Rihanna stood tall in her leather stilettos on the principle of “disrupting the Fashion industry in every way possible” with an alternative way of debuting a full collection. Yesterday in Paris, a private room intimately filled with some of Fashions heaviest hitters to preview and engage in the viewing.
“It’s definitely different from doing a show, with a show there are so many moving parts,” the Barbados born Entrepreneur stated “That’s not to say it hasn’t been hectic, but there is something about the intimacy of doing things this way that I love.” The viewing was held in a chic petite Gallery space that’s been tailored into a Fenty luxury house with the collection on full display to ooze over and will also serve as a temporary Fenty storefront. The collection is based on the personal style and evolution of the songstress. Becoming the muse of her own line is the precedent of the elegance forcing for the record breaking moment. The exclusive Lookbook only amplified the anxiety to drain our bank accounts for the groundbreaking releases. Structured on the gender-binding masculine felinity, the collection is filled with saucy loose suits (that come with a waist cinching fanny pack, and tailored blazers with corsets woven delicately into the seams. Joining the pastel and camel colored fabrics is Denim, like the raw Japanese denim corseted minidress and coordinating jeans with double pleating along the waistline. For anyone, a.k.a the entire world, inspired by the mega-star’s style lately will see the collection as a real-life mood board.
The collection goes completely live, online only on May 29th at Fenty.com.
