Born in Spanish Town, Jamaica and raised in upstate New York, turning 70 years old today, Grace has definitely defied all odds when it comes to Fashion. Beginning with her relationship Jean-Paul Goude, she was able to curate an image to match her strong, but graceful, appearance. It wasn’t until the late ’60s that she was really recognized as a force – she shaved all of her hair off. A few yers later she moved to Pais which then catapulted her into an applause landing campaigns such in the company of Yves St. Laurent, Azzedine Alaïa, and Kenzo. With a one of a kind look, Grace fell into a category of non-binary allowing her the fluidness to do literally, whatever the hell she wanted.
