Today we got a glimpse of what could possible be to come for Burberry by Riccardo Tisci. Respectively, they both posted images in a Lookbook fashion on Instagram with the caption –
“I wanted to celebrate the beauty, heritage, and legacy that I discovered when I first arrived at Burberry.” Tisci wrote. ” ‘B Classic’ is an edit that I’ve curated to honor the icons of the House – pieces like the tench coat, the quilted jacket, the car coat, the kilt – which sits at the heart of the SS19 pre collection designed by the fantastic Burberry design team.”
Tisci was named Creative Chief Officer for the Brand in March. This homage to the authenticity of the House was styled by Tisci for conversation purposes until his official Runway debut September 17th with London Fashion Week. A more minimal aesthetic than we’re used to seeing from the visionary but a different take on a brand long established for creating style moments for generations to come.
